Minimizing Risk, Maximizing Patient Care

As Massachusetts and other states across the nation begin to relax stay-at-home restrictions, staying healthy and minimizing the spread of COVID-19 is top of everyone’s mind. Maintaining the highest standard in hygiene protocol is business as usual at The Boston Center, but we are also stepping up our efforts to minimize the risk of virus transmission so we can safeguard the health and wellbeing of our patients. We’ll continue to provide the same world-class healthcare, bespoke procedures, and elegant facilities but with a few additional steps to protect you.

To minimize the risk of virus spread, we’ve added these precautions to our usual rigorous infection mitigation protocol:

  • Patients with any symptoms of COVID-19 or those who have been exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days are asked to reschedule their appointment
  • Patients are asked to wear a mask to their appointment
  • A hand-sanitizing station is located at the front door for patients to use as they enter
  • Our staff take arriving patients’ temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation to screen for symptoms of COVID-19
  • Patients are then taken directly to an examination room to minimize patient interaction in the waiting room
  • Examination rooms are thoroughly cleaned between each patient visit
  • Staff have increased used of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Timing of appointments and procedures has been adjusted to maintain physical distancing
  • Entry into the building is limited to staff and patients at this time

Our protocol has been designed in accordance with state regulations, CDC guidance, and recommendations from the American Society of Anesthesia and the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation.

For some patients, including those with underlying health conditions, those with high-risk family members, or those living in countries with travel restrictions, coming into the office may not yet be the right choice. Virtual consultations via video conference are available for patients who want or need to stay home but don’t want their cosmetic or reconstructive plans to stall. For those ready to resume their surgical journey, we’re ready to help you achieve your aesthetic vision.
